Tour of Homes FAQs

How does a Home Tour work?
Specific homes in the community are open to tour. To participate, you must buy a ticket. The ticket will list each home on the tour and a map of the home locations. You are free to visit any and all of the homes in whichever order you wish during tour hours. When you arrive at a home, your ticket will be checked off and you will be directed into the home. Homes will not admit anyone before 1PM.

Tour guests are asked to only go where they are directed and asked to not touch anything in the homes. No eating or drinking is allowed in any of the homes. Taking photos is not allowed. Umbrellas, strollers and pets must be left outside the homes.

If a homeowner requests you wear booties over your shoes, they will be provided.

Which homes are featured on the Tour?
Addresses and the event map are provided at the start of the tour.
How much does it cost?
Tickets are available on-line for $15 through Thursday, October 12. Please use the ticket link above.
The tour goes rain or shine. There are no refunds or exchanges available.

Same-day tickets are available for $20 and can be bought at Community Happens Here. Cash and credit cards will be accepted the day of the event. No checks, please.
If I buy my ticket in advance, how do I get it?
All tickets must be picked-up at Community Happens Here between 12:45PM and 4PM, the day of the event. There will be a designated line for pre-purchased tickets.
How do I get to the houses?
The tour is self-directed. Each guest is responsible for getting from house to house. People typically walk, drive or both. If you drive, park only in legal street parking areas or designated lots. No parking is allowed in the driveways of the featured homes.
Where can I park?
There are several community lots in the Pleasant Ridge Business District. The closest to check-in at Community Happens Here is behind Walgreens at the corner of Montgomery and Woodmont. There is also plenty of street parking in most of our neighborhood.
Since our tour is spread over more of Pleasant Ridge than in previous years, consider carpooling to some locations. You may need to walk a block or two to visit some homes. Please be considerate of neighbors near our tour homes and be respectful of their property.
Is the tour handicap accessible?
Unfortunately, no. The homes on the tour are not accessible and walking is necessary between homes and parking.

Are children allowed on the tour?
Children are welcome on the tour but must follow the tour rules – no eating or drinking in the homes, no touching and staying within the designated areas.

Children 12 and under don’t need a ticket but must be with an paying adult at all times.
Are restrooms available?
Restrooms are available at Community Happens Here and the public library. There are no restrooms available in the tour homes.
