Play in the Park

Did you attend the Kennedy Heights non-violence vigil and wish there were a way you could build on the momentum of that evening and help build a safer community?  Here is a great opportunity!

The Kennedy Heights Community Council and Friends of Kennedy Heights Park are pleased to announce a chaperoned summertime Play in the Park event at Kennedy Heights Park.

Play in the Park

A Chaperoned Evening for Kids at Kennedy Heights Park

Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

July 24 – September 4

Sponsored by Kennedy Heights Community Council and Friends of Kennedy Heights Park

Chaperoned by KH Neighbors and Community Safety Officers

  • Play in the Park begins this Wednesday, July 24 and continues through Wednesday, September 4, from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.
  • Kennedy Heights and Pleasant Ridge community members and neighbors are encouraged to participate as a sign of our commitment to non-violence and to make the park a welcoming place for everyone.
  • A community member will lead the Play in the Park event each week accompanied by community volunteer chaperones.  Community Safety Officers from the Cincinnati Police Department will also be present.
  • The goal is to create a ‘presence’ in the park while providing casual games and outdoor activities, encouraging participation or overseeing kids who simply want to hang out and relax in a safe environment.

Volunteers are needed – please contact Susan Wade Murphy, at rswademurphy@gmail.com  or call Susan at (513) 484-0893.  You may also simply arrive any Wednesday evening and join in the activities.

Please forward this information to your Kennedy Heights and Pleasant Ridge contacts and neighbors. See you at the Park on Wednesday!
